Sep. 15, 2025 - CO WO2 Juan Gonzales announced today a 'RANGER LEAERSHIP' RLFS Leadership Development Lecture will be held on 6 October 2024 - Sunday at 0900. the lecture will be followed by a luncheon, and a Post 558 Orientation. RLFS is an interactive, realistic, immediately usable presentatation of the traits of tried-and-true traditional leadership basic principles. 161st ARW Commander Welcomes Conference Attendees

Sep. 22, 2023 - Col. Jessica Hastings, Commander of the 161st Air Refueling Wing (ANG), Goldwater ANGB, AZ stopped by the Military Explorers Commanders Conference to welcome its leaders and to provide a briefing on the 161st ARW mission and the importance the Wing has in fulfilling its DOD responsibility to the defense of our country. Col. Hastings congratulated the Commanders on their successes, and thanked them for the sacrifices they make to continue to educate and motivate our Youth to a career in the U.S. Miltary.

Sep. 22-23, 2023 - The Annual U.S. Military Explorers Commander Conference was held this year at Goldwater ANGB, Phoenix, AZ, home of the 161st Air Refueling Wing of the Arizona Air National Guard who was this year's host. The supporting organization for putting on the conference was the 396th Aircrew Training Squadron (ATRS) of the Air Force Explorers, Col. E. Calvin Lowrie, Jr - Commander. The 396th ATRS has been providing high quality Military Youth Caeer Education Training on the base since 1999. (www.usafexplorers.org)
