Official Home Page of the U.S. Military Explorers

Thank you for your interest in the U.S. Military Explorers Programs. We are an organization that thru its Units (Posts) offers an 'After-school year-round' Military career-education preparatory programs to Young Adults (ages 14-17) in High School that prepares them for: (1) acceptance into a U.S. Military Service Academy, (2) assists in receiving a ROTC Scholarship, (3) preparing for a Military Enlistment, or (4) to continue as an Adult Advisor (18-21) and initiate leadership training & command opportunities. Our training programs are organized through 'Military-Branch specific' Explorer Units. . Each individual Military Explorer Unit program will vary depending on the type of training program, curriculum, and training hours. Explorer Cadets meet after school on a weekday evening, or during the weekend on a Saturday or Sunday (afternoon). Each Military Unit trains & operates under an 'Enlisted/NCO Preparatory' or 'Officer Preparatory' Program & Curriculum and can have their own military career specialty area. . 'Military Club' Programs are also available that educates Middle-schoolers (grades 7-8) on various Military Branches & organizations and how they defend our country. Programs time formats will vary depending on availability of instructors. . For clarification purposes, we are not a recruiting organization for U.S. Military organizations. We are part of and operate within the Exploring Division of Learning for Life Corporation (a Subsidiary of BSA, now called Scouting America). We operate Career-Education Programs for young adults under a military branch-specific training environment. Our DOW partner-supporting organizations allow us access at times in order to provide direct military training, education & experiences, allowing the Cadet to make more effective better decisions about their potential interest.
